Impacted Soil Excavation

Soil excavation is the fastest clean-up method to mitigate soil contamination and we have extensive experience with removing impacted soil safely, quickly and efficiently.  We can perform large scale soil excavations to small scale trenching while managing wastes and impacted materials in accordance with TSCA and DOT regulations. Depending on excavation size requirements, we have a variety of equipment options for the removal of all types of materials. In accordance with EPA regulations, any soil generated onsite will be staged on plastic and covered overnight to protect the surrounding areas from cross-contamination.  At the conclusion of each day, open excavation will be barricaded in adherence to the strictest safety requirements. Finally, at the end of the project, we can perform backfilling activities using the required clean materials to complete any project

Media Blasting and Coating

For the removal of damaged PCB-impacted paint on certain surfaces, we utilize a variety of media blasting and coating techniques. The method that we use is dependent on the project, the condition of PCB-impacted component and the client's specifications. Damaged paint can be removed from surfaces, as needed, using blasting methods such as shot-blasting, brush-grinding, dry ice blasting, diamond grinding, sand blasting or sponge blasting.

Chemical Cleaning

Chemical cleaning has proven to be an efficient means for cleaning and/or degreasing equipment in situations where mechanical means of cleaning are not practical.  AGES can achieve nearly 100% removal of waste material in various pieces of equipment.  Crews use the most up to date chemical cleaning technologies to get results in a cost-effective manner, while eliminating any negative effects on the equipment

Remediation of Impacted Equipment

If a surface is impacted and in need of remediation, we've probably worked on it. Our experience with remediating impacted equipment includes non-porous surfaces such as stationary equipment, rafters, and shelves; Sumps, troughs and drainlines; tanks and other large containers; parts, tools and movable equipment; and, even compressed air components.

Spill Response

Unfortunately, accidents and equipment failures occur; and, not always at convenient times. Releases of hazardous materials, including PCBs and other oils, whether large or small, can result in significant environmental and financial damages if not quickly contained.  A quick and efficient response to a spill, in conjunction with sound environmental technology, is crucial to bringing an incident to closure.  AGES offers fully-trained and experienced personnel to address any type of release.

Paint Removal Via Concrete Scarification

For some impacted components, it is necessary to completely remove all impacted paint (both damaged and intact) from concrete surfaces.  In these situations, we remove the affected materials by scabbling or scarifying. For large areas, we have a wheel-mounted, remote-controlled system that is capable of removing 250-450 square feet of concrete per hour to a depth of 1/16 of an inch. For smaller, limited access locations, we use a hand-held system that is capable of scarifying 20-30 square feet of concrete per hour to a depth of 1/16 of an inch. During scarification, we also use a “dust-free” decontamination system, which incorporates a high-performance vacuum and a waste packaging unit to reduce cross-contamination into nearby areas. We continue until that area can be considered decontaminated with verified analytical results.  Moreover, we can coordinate the disposal and/or treatment of all resulting impacted waste at an approved, off-site disposal facility.

Industrial Vacuum Services

Collecting contaminated waste, such as liquids or sludges, can be a major obstacle; unless, you utilize an experienced contractor.  AGES oversees a large fleet of vacuum trucks and associated equipment to address our clients’ needs. We can remove a wide variety of waste material from tanks, vessels, water treatment ponds, basins, sewers, drains and more.  Our professional team is knowledgeable and fully-trained in efficient industrial contracting techniques and safety measures, ensuring all your requirements are fully met.
